Everybody listening to, or participating in, conversions on the BrandMeister DMR network and have more than one talkgroup set up for thir hotspot has unevitable experienced when the network feed suddenly snaps over to quite another talk group. The reason for this is that the master instantly switches when there is a break in the transmission and at the same time an ongoing conversation in another subscribed talkgroup.
This condition is in my humble opinion not acceptable. In special as it can be, likely quite easily, solved by a change in the master nodes software. The change is simply to keep the connected talkgroup for a brief moment after it becomes silent, before changing over to another talkgroup.
The addition of this feature will be perfectly compatible with the current system with dynamic talkgroups and a relese command to cancel them. That is a system for those who want to call out in the groups. The system with a "group hang time" is for them that want to listen. It will appear like old days scanners.
To instantly get another talkgroup, just key PTT into that group to force an immediate switch, just like forcing a dynamic talkgroup today.
If we are many enough that wants a change in a direction like what is outlined here, it will happen. The developers of BrandMeister does a great job, but there are room for further improvements. If something like this is what You want, let the developers team know it so they can take it under concideration. The current solution for talkgroup switching is just simply not good enough.

Below is a graphic clarification. The talkgroup numbers are for simplicity represented
by colors. (Do not confuse with color codes, those are completely irrelevant here)
